Selected Experience

Nearly five decades of RF, microwave and integrated-circuit engineering.

The emphasis here is technical depth and selected accomplishments rather than a conventional chronological résumé.

JPY Consulting

RF and analog integrated-circuit consulting, system/circuit design, technical instruction and design problem solving.

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology

Part-time Visiting Professor teaching RFIC and analog IC design, performance analysis and physical layout.

Skyworks Solutions

Engineering leadership and technical work in mobile RF front ends, power amplifiers, SOI switches, CMOS/BiCMOS ICs, compound-semiconductor technology and product roadmaps.

Conexant

RFIC design leadership for handset PA, cellular base-station and GPS products; system design and detailed circuit design. Led a first-pass single-chip silicon BiCMOS GPS receiver that remained in volume production for years.

Rockwell Collins / Rockwell International

RFIC, microwave and radio architecture work spanning GPS, SATCOM and other wireless systems. Participated in the DARPA miniature GPS receiver program that integrated the RF front end on a single GaAs die.

Naval Avionics Center

IF, synthesizer and digital circuit design plus qualification and flight testing for the Walleye extended-range data-link receiver.
